We’ll not bore you with details of the hundreds of smaller (but critical!) accessories we use on every shoot - but for your perusing interest, the following is a brief description of our main production gear. This list does not include the cinema lighting equipment we bring to every shoot. We keep our gear up-to-date to stay ahead of the HD technology curve. This basically gives you bragging rights, so you can say your marketing projects are HD.

The Sony PDW-F355 XDCAM HD Camcorder provides the durability and reliability to which professionals have become accustomed, while adding many new features. What sets the XDCAM HD line apart from other cameras is its ability to shoot high definition video at manageable bit-rates, without sacrificing quality.

Sony Z1U HDV Camcorder - In creating this camcorder, Sony has blurred the line between consumer and professional video cameras. The Z1U adheres to HDV Consortium’s specifications for 1080i recording on popular DV mini-cassettes. This camera represents the widest array of professional features within a new standard of miniaturization. The HDV video standard will provide approximately double the resolution of the old standard DV formats.

The Schoeps CMIT5U is a superior professional long-shotgun microphone, reflecting the performance and sound quality expected of Schoeps. The CMIT5U is designed for professional film, video and music recording applications, capturing both dialog and instruments with great detail and accuracy. The microphone features a directional pattern with low-coloration at the off-axis sections of the capsule. Low and high frequencies are captured at a wider pick up area than that of mid-range frequencies. The result enables audio engineers to cue the boom and keep actors “on mike” with more precision.

Apple Mac Pro Tower - The system is powered by 2 dual-core Intel Xeon 5100 CPUs running at a clockspeed of 3.0 GHz each. This “Quad Core” configuration yields up to four times the processing power of a single CPU, making it an ideal solution for mission critical applications. Loaded with 8 Gig of RAM and a lightening-fast video card, we are able to edit HD footage “on the fly”.

The Tascam HD-P2 is a lightweight, moderately-priced, professional 2-channel stereo field recorder. The machine records to Compact Flash and Microdrive storage media, and writes the audio in the Broadcast Wave File format.
